Laser-assisted in situ keratomileusis (LASIK) is used to correct refractive errors such as myopia, hyperopia, and astigmatism.

A specialized laser is used to reshape your cornea which helps light focus better on the retina. When light focuses better, your vision becomes clearer.

LASIK is a popular option when it comes to laser eye surgeries because it is quick and has minimal downtime, and results are often seen as soon as the next day.

Photorefractive keratectomy (PRK), similar to LASIK, is also used to correct refractive errors.

An ophthalmologist will reshape your cornea using a laser that has been programmed with special measurements specific to your eye. The treatment usually takes around 15 minutes to perform.

PRK is not suitable for those with thinner corneas.

Refractive lens exchange is a procedure that removes the natural lens in your eye and replaces it with an intraocular lens (IOL). This process is similar to laser cataract surgery.

Replacing a natural lens with an IOL can help you achieve clearer vision without the need for corrective lenses or glasses.

Small Incision Lenticule Extraction, or SMILE, is a minimally invasive laser eye surgery that can correct a refractive error in the eye.

This procedure uses a short-pulsed specialty laser to reshape the cornea. Due to its precision, the flap created on the surface of the eye is smaller than 4mm.

Corneal cross-linking is a procedure used to treat keratoconus, an eye disease that affects the structure of the cornea.

A combination of eye drops and ultraviolet light adds bonds between collagen fibres in your eye. This strengthens the tissues in your cornea.
